PRE-RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP (SATURDAY, August 25, 2011):

CHIP PICK UP
This race will be timed using chip timing transponder, commonly called “the chip”. CHIPS WILL BE HANDED OUT WITH THE PACKETS. You must have your race number from your packet in order to get your chip. It is highly recommended that you pick up your race packet Saturday, August 25th as outlined above.
Please follow these simple instructions carefully. Not wearing or installing the transponder properly may prevent you from being timed.
- Transponders are unique serial numbers and are non-transferable!
- Be careful not to switch with other participants.
- The chip must be on your shoe at all times or you will not be scored in the event.
- Your chip will be removed by volunteers at the finish line.
- If you find you still have the timing chip after the race, please put it in a padded envelope and mail to:

You will be charged a $95 replacement fee if you do not return your chip.
Failure to return a chip will result in disqualification from all events timed by Ultramax Events.
RACE DAY (SUNDAY, AUGUST 28, 2011)
PARKING:
There is ample parking around the Start/Finish Area of the race. There will be race marshals directing racers to parking areas on race morning. Just look for the GOLD “CREW” shirts located on Wilson between Route 25 and 31.
Here are some specific areas with plenty of parking:
- Batavia Library located at 10 S. Batavia Avenue Batavia, IL 60510
- Batavia Enterprises at 140 1st Street; Batavia, IL 60510
- The Quarry at 400 S Water Street; Batavia, IL 60510
- Parking Garage located of North River Street (east side of river)
- Ample street parking on Shumway, Water & Spring Streets

****Race Day packet pick up will be permitted
but it is encouraged that you pick it up the previous day.****
WHERE:
Start/Finish area – Dowtown Batavia just south of Wilson St. and Shumway Ave.
WHEN:
5:30 – 6:30 a.m.
RACE STARTS: 7:00 a.m.
POST RACE FESTIVITIES 8:00 – 12:00 a.m. At the post race party, for the racers, there will be massages, Free Food, Drinks and BEER!! Also vendors selling food and drinks to spectators, retailers selling products and exciting give aways among other things. Stay and enjoy!!
AWARD CERAMONY (TOP MALE & FEMALE FINISHERS) 9:30 a.m. Age Group Awards will be handed out after 10:00 a.m. from the award table located near the finish line trailer.
COURSE CLOSES 10:00 a.m.
Note: As indicated on registration forms, if you registered prior to July 3, 2010, you will receive the shirt size you selected. If after July 3, you are subject to size availability.
HEADPHONES ARE DISCOURAGED AND NO PETS
Racers who don’t abide by this rule could be subject to disqualification.
